Let this Messiah, this King of Israel, come down from the cross so we can see it and believe him!” Even the men who were crucified with Jesus ridiculed him.

This is where I'm confused. In the Bible stories I've seen reenacted of Jesus' crucifixion, the two men crucified with Jesus asked him for forgiveness and a seat in heaven. But here, the Scriptures are saying they mocked him.
