Isaiah 34

5 For aMy sword is satiated in heaven, Behold it shall descend for judgment upon bEdom And upon the people whom I have cdevoted to destruction.

Isaiah 34

6 The sword of the Lord is filled with blood, It is sated with fat, with the blood of lambs and goats, With the fat of the kidneys of rams. For the Lord has a sacrifice in aBozrah And a great slaughter in the land of bEdom.

Isaiah 63

1 Who is this who comes from aEdom, With bgarments of glowing colors from cBozrah, This One who is majestic in His apparel, Marching in the greatness of His strength? "It is I who speak in righteousness, dmighty to save."
2 Why is Your apparel red, And Your garments like the one who atreads in the wine press?
3 "aI have trodden the wine trough alone, And from the peoples there was no man with Me. I also btrod them in My anger And ctrampled them in My wrath; And dtheir lifeblood is sprinkled on My garments, And I stained all My raiment.
4 "For the aday of vengeance was in My heart, And My year of redemption has come.
5 "I looked, and there was ano one to help, And I was astonished and there was no one to uphold; So My bown arm brought salvation to Me, And My wrath upheld Me.
6 "I atrod down the peoples in My anger And made them bdrunk in My wrath, And I poured out their lifeblood on the earth."

Jeremiah 49

7 Concerning aEdom. Thus says the Lord of hosts, "Is there no longer any bwisdom in cTeman? Has good counsel been lost to the prudent? Has their wisdom decayed?
8 "Flee away, turn back, dwell in the depths, O inhabitants of aDedan, For I will bring the bdisaster of Esau upon him At the time I punish him.
9 "aIf grape gatherers came to you, Would they not leave gleanings? If thieves came by night, They would destroy only until they had enough.
10 "But I have astripped Esau bare, I have uncovered his hiding places So that he will not be able to conceal himself; His offspring has been destroyed along with his relatives And his neighbors, and bhe is no more.
11 "Leave your aorphans behind, I will keep them alive; And let your bwidows trust in Me."
12 For thus says the Lord, "Behold, those who were not sentenced to drink the acup will certainly drink it, and are you the one who will be bcompletely acquitted? You will not be acquitted, but you will certainly drink it.
13 "For I have asworn by Myself," declares the Lord, "that bBozrah will become an cobject of horror, a reproach, a ruin and a curse; and all its cities will become perpetual ruins."
14 I have aheard a message from the Lord, And an benvoy is sent among the nations, saying, "cGather yourselves together and come against her, And rise up for battle!"
15 "For behold, I have made you small among the nations, Despised among men.
16 "As for the terror of you, The arrogance of your heart has deceived you, O you who live in the clefts of the arock, Who occupy the height of the hill. Though you make your nest as bhigh as an eagle's, I will cbring you down from there," declares the Lord.
17 "Edom will become an aobject of horror; everyone who passes by it will be horrified and will bhiss at all its wounds.
18 "Like the aoverthrow of Sodom and Gomorrah with its neighbors," says the Lord, "bno one will live there, nor will a son of man reside in it.
19 "aBehold, one will come up like a lion from the bthickets of the Jordan against a perennially watered pasture; for in an instant I will make him run away from it, and whoever is cchosen I shall appoint over it. For who is dlike Me, and who will summon Me into court? And who then is the shepherd ewho can stand against Me?"
20 Therefore hear the aplan of the Lord which He has planned against Edom, and His purposes which He has purposed against the inhabitants of Teman: surely they will drag them off, even the little ones of the flock; surely He will make their pasture bdesolate because of them.
21 The aearth has quaked at the noise of their downfall. There is an outcry! The noise of it has been heard at the Red Sea.
22 Behold, He will mount up and aswoop like an eagle and spread out His wings against Bozrah; and the bhearts of the mighty men of Edom in that day will be like the heart of a woman in labor.

Ezekiel 25

12 'Thus says the Lord GOD, "Because aEdom has acted against the house of Judah by taking vengeance, and has incurred grievous guilt, and avenged themselves upon them,"
13 therefore thus says the Lord GOD, "I will also astretch out My hand against Edom and bcut off man and beast from it. And I will lay it waste; from cTeman even to dDedan they will fall by the sword.
14 "aI will lay My vengeance on Edom by the hand of My people Israel. Therefore, they will act in Edom baccording to My anger and according to My wrath; thus they will know My vengeance," declares the Lord GOD.

Ezekiel 35

1 Moreover, the word of the Lord came to me saying,
2 "Son of man, set your face against aMount Seir, and prophesy against it
3 and say to it, 'Thus says the Lord GOD, "Behold, I am against you, Mount Seir, And I will astretch out My hand against you And make you a bdesolation and a waste.
4 "I will alay waste your cities And you will become a desolation. Then you will know that I am the Lord.
5 "Because you have had everlasting aenmity and have delivered the sons of Israel to the power of the sword at the time of their calamity, at the time of the bpunishment of the end,
6 therefore as I live," declares the Lord GOD, "I will give you over to abloodshed, and bloodshed will pursue you; since you have not hated bloodshed, therefore bloodshed will pursue you.
7 "I will make Mount Seir a waste and a desolation and I will cut off from it the one who passes through and returns.
8 "I will afill its mountains with its slain; on your hills and in your valleys and in all your ravines those slain by the sword will fall.
9 "I will make you an everlasting adesolation and your cities will not be inhabited. Then you will know that I am the Lord.
10 "Because you have asaid, 'These two nations and these two lands will be mine, and we will possess them,' although the bLord was there,
11 therefore as I live," declares the Lord GOD, "I will deal with you aaccording to your anger and according to your envy which you showed because of your hatred against them; so I will bmake Myself known among them when I judge you.
12 "Then you will know that I, the Lord, have heard all your revilings which you have spoken against the mountains of Israel saying, 'They are laid desolate; they are agiven to us for food.'
13 "And you have aspoken arrogantly against Me and have multiplied your words against Me; bI have heard it."
14 'Thus says the Lord GOD, "As all the aearth rejoices, I will make you a desolation.
15 "As you arejoiced over the inheritance of the house of Israel because it was desolate, bso I will do to you. You will be a cdesolation, O Mount Seir, and all Edom, all of it. Then they will know that I am the Lord."'

Obadiah 1

1 The vision of Obadiah.
2 "Behold, I will make you asmall among the nations; You are greatly despised.
3 "The aarrogance of your heart has deceived you, You who live in the clefts of the brock, In the loftiness of your dwelling place, Who say in your heart, 'cWho will bring me down to earth?'
4 "Though you abuild high like the eagle, Though you set your nest among the bstars, From there I will bring you down," declares the Lord.
5 "If athieves came to you, If robbers by night-- O how you will be ruined!-- Would they not steal only until they had enough? If grape gatherers came to you, bWould they not leave some gleanings?
6 "O how Esau will be aransacked, And his hidden treasures searched out!
7 "All the amen allied with you Will send you forth to the border, And the men at peace with you Will deceive you and overpower you. They who eat your bbread Will set an ambush for you. (There is cno understanding in him.)
8 "Will I not on that day," declares the Lord, "aDestroy wise men from Edom And understanding from the mountain of Esau?
9 "Then your amighty men will be dismayed, O bTeman, So that everyone may be ccut off from the mountain of Esau by slaughter.
10 "Because of aviolence to your brother Jacob, You will be covered with shame, bAnd you will be cut off forever.
11 "On the day that you astood aloof, On the day that strangers carried off his wealth, And foreigners entered his gate And bcast lots for Jerusalem-- cYou too were as one of them.
12 "aDo not gloat over your brother's day, The day of his misfortune. And bdo not rejoice over the sons of Judah In the day of their destruction; Yes, cdo not boast In the day of their distress.
13 "Do not enter the gate of My people In the aday of their disaster. Yes, you, do not gloat over their calamity In the day of their disaster. And do not bloot their wealth In the day of their disaster.
14 "Do not astand at the fork of the road To cut down their fugitives; And do not imprison their survivors In the day of their distress.

Malachi 1

2 "I have aloved you," says the Lord. But you say, "How have You loved us?" "Was not Esau Jacob's brother?" declares the Lord. "Yet I bhave loved Jacob;
3 but I have hated Esau, and I have amade his mountains a desolation and appointed his inheritance for the jackals of the wilderness."
4 Though Edom says, "We have been abeaten down, but we will breturn and build up the ruins"; thus says the Lord of hosts, "They may cbuild, but I will tear down; and men will call them the wicked territory, and the people toward whom the Lord is indignant dforever."
5 Your eyes will see this and you will say, "aThe Lord be magnified beyond the border of Israel!"
