Isaiah 45:1 References
1 Thus says the Lord to aCyrus His anointed,
Whom I have taken by the right bhand, To csubdue nations before him And to dloose the loins of kings; To open doors before him so that gates will not be shut:

2 "aWho has aroused one from the east
Whom He bcalls in righteousness to His feet?
He cdelivers up nations before him And subdues kings. He makes them like ddust with his sword, As the wind-driven echaff with his bow.
25 "I have aroused aone from the north, and he has come;
From the rising of the sun he will call on My name;
And he will come upon rulers as upon bmortar, Even as the potter treads clay."
3 "For a nation has come up against her out of the anorth; it will make her land ban object of horror, and there will be cno inhabitant in it. Both man and beast have wandered off, they have gone away!
35 "A asword against the Chaldeans," declares the Lord,
"And against the inhabitants of Babylon
And against her bofficials and her cwise men!
11 aSharpen the arrows, fill the quivers!
The Lord has aroused the spirit of the kings of the Medes,
Because His purpose is against Babylon to destroy it; For it is the bvengeance of the Lord, vengeance for His temple.
20 He says, "You are My awar-club, My weapon of war;
And with you I bshatter nations,
And with you I destroy kingdoms.
