Psalms 104:18 NKJV

The high hills are for the wild goats; The cliffs are a refuge for the rock badgers.

The Psalmist is emphasizing how great and awesome God is. This entire chapter is a reflection of creation and how God has taken the care of even the animals into consideration when He created them. He designed cliffs so the rock badgers could take refuge, and the mountains for the wild goats. Both of these animals were considered unclean and forbidden for the Israelite to eat, yet God is displaying that He even provides for them. Everything in all creation has their provision from God whether they believe in Him or not. Matthew 5:45 tells us that all people, righteous or not, benefit from His kindness while they live.

The Psalmist closes this chapter by saying "I will sing to the Lord as long as I live; I will sing praise to my God while I have my being. May my meditation be sweet to Him; I will be glad in the Lord." Dear friend, if you call Him Father, be sure to take on that same attitude of worship toward our great God and King. Amen!
