It Is Like the Dew Of Hermon

It is like the dew of Hermon, Descending upon the mountains of Zion; For there the Lord commanded the blessing— Life forevermore.

Unity is the key-word of this text. The chapter begins by honing in on the pleasantness of God's people dwelling together in unity. This pleases God so much that He says it's like this amazing dew that waters the dry ground, producing growth and fruitfulness. The gospel of Jesus flourishes under such unity. Jesus said in John 13:35 "By this all will know that you are My disciples, if you have love for one another." It's in this unity that the Lord "Commands" His blessings including "Life Forevermore". Unity is very important to God.
