For thus says the Lord, the God of Israel, 'The jar of flour shall not be spent, and the jug of oil shall not be empty, until the day that the Lord sends rain upon the earth.'"

Flour and oil will not be spent for this is God's assurance to the widow woman because of great famine and the brook is dried up at tho time. Until God sends Rain cometh on the earth.
