Go out, O daughters of Zion, and look upon King Solomon, with the crown with which his mother crowned him on the day of his wedding, on the day of the gladness of his heart.

Zion will one day look upon him whom they have pierced and mourn for him as for an only son. They will love him and grieve that they had rejected him. Mt Zion is an allegory for the unbelieving Jewish nation. It was there that they received the first covenant which they refused to lay aside for the second.
