And they heard the sound of the Lord God walking in the garden in the cool of the day, and the man and his wife hid themselves from the presence of the Lord God among the trees of the garden.

They hid because of disobedience and they thought that because God didn't see, He would not know. But even if He were not Omnipresent, I think He would have known because being created in His image, I think He would know the moment their spirits became unlike His...darken by sin. And like Jesus with Judas, He knew in whom the enemy had entered to betray Him.
