For this is why the gospel was preached even to those who are dead, that though judged in the flesh the way people are, they might live in the spirit the way God does.

The end of all things is at hand; therefore be self-controlled and sober-minded for the sake of your prayers.

It is very important to pray regularly to avoid the evil of the day. The day of the Lord is near, getting ready to meet with Christ invoves continually growing in LOVE for God and for others. Whatever we have on earth means nothing in God's Kingdom. We should invest our time and the talent God has giving us where they will make an eternal difference.
