Clearly, there are times when the good that we would do, we don’t do; and the very evil that we know not to do, we find ourselves doing. When we try to convince ourselves that we don’t have a dark side, we not only do damage to ourselves but also to the people we’re trying to help. Counselors, like everyone else, have a dark side that needs to be confessed. As counselors, we model for clients how to confess, confront, and control the wickedness of our hearts through the power of the Holy Spirit.
