Psalms 3:3 NASB
Jijuxian's Note
Dec 2
vs 3-6: Though his enemies are as in the earlier verses, immediately David declares his confidence and trust in the Lord. 3-Our Lord is the shield in our spiritual battles. (Eph 6:16 - shield of faith) (Gen 15:1- I am your shield) My glory speaks of his possession and his source of glory. Ro 8:30+ speaks of believers as are already (past-tense) "glorified," so certain is our future glorification. But there is a present glory that is His to be had. Paul writes now as we "we all, with unveiled face, (are) beholding as in a mirror the glory of the Lord (especially in the Word of God), (we) are being (continually) transformed into the same image from glory to glory, just as from the Lord, the Spirit." (2Cor 3:18+)
