David waits and asks of the Lord - we learn that waiting may be what the LORD is calling us to do so that in His time, by His power and for His glory He might bring about the accomplishment of His will. It is difficult for us "doers" to sit still and hear words like "Cease striving and know that I am God; I will be exalted among the nations, I will be exalted in the earth.” (Ps 46:10+). And yet waiting may be the most "productive" thing we can do, for Isaiah writes "Yet those who wait for the LORD Will gain new strength (EXCHANGE THEIR "STRENGTH" FOR HIS STRENGTH!); They will mount up with wings like eagles, They will run and not get tired, They will walk and not become weary.." (Isaiah 40:31+).
