From the book of Leviticus, chapter 1-3 explains how the Lord wanted His chosen people to prepare sin offerings of animal sacrifices (burnt offerings) and of fine flour (grain offerings) to purify themselves of sin and peace offerings of animal sacrifices (burnt offerings) and of fine flour (grain offerings) to show thanksgiving unto the Lord.
