Chapter 8
22
But this time I will spare the region of Goshen, where my people live. No flies will be found there. Then you will know that I am the LORD and that I am present even in the heart of your land.

I always assumed that the Israelites who resided in Goshen were not affected by any of the 10 plagues brought down on Egypt. However, it clearly states here in this verse that up until the plague of gnats, all of Egypt-even Goshen-experienced the plagues of water turning into blood and the swarm of frogs overrunning the land.
