Abraham said to his young men, "Stay here with the donkey, and I and the lad will go over there; and we will worship and return to you."

For Abraham to say that we will return to you reveals his faith that God would provide. Abraham prior to Sodom and Gomorrah being destroyed revealed God's character. Not to destroy the just! He promised him that He would make Him a great nation and that Isaac will be Abraham's heir!
