Genesis

Chapter 19

8 "Now behold, aI have two daughters who have not had relations with man; please let me bring them out to you, and do to them whatever you like; only do nothing to these men, inasmuch as they have come under the shelter of my roof."

Sacrificing his daughters to a multitude of rapist! First response would be how wicked that would be. Deep down inside it seems as though Lot is illustrating his love for God as he recognizes them as angels of the Lord! Did he really think that was the right thing to do? I think Lot has adapted to the environment and His thought process was corrupt. I believe the right thing to do would be to pray to seek God to save them! He probably loves the people of the city and feared more for their life and possibly the life of his own household knowing that these angels could destroy the city and everyone in it! The story of the flood may be on the forefront of his mind!
