Something to think about, what if the story of Adam and Eve was about maturing, and that like our chilidren when they began to think for themselves and to act on their own, making poor choices along the way, God knew it was time to allow Adam and Eve to be one their own, just as we do with our children, we kick them out of the nest so to speak. How would this change the way women are viewed?
