Her faith was just as strong as the centurion. The centurion took faith in Jesus authority and his word to heal his servant. He did not need Jesus actual presence and him to actually lay hands on the person to heal him. His faith in Jesus word was enough. Here is another demonstration of faith. The woman did not need to have Jesus' hands laid upon her to make her well. She had enough faith to know, by just being near him, by just being close enough to touch the hem of his garment, she would be made whole. Now, this is true faith. When you can believe so strongly for healing, before the manifestation happens. Believe enough to say, "Lord, you don't have to put hands on me, but let me just touch you ever so gently, I know this will be enough.
