Matthew 21:33-41... this parable is so confounding it. It basically discusses what the people did when God sent His prophets & messengers to them. Jesus described how the people, represented by the husbandmen, tortured and killed each prophet. The most striking is when Jesus mentions how God, who is the owner of the vineyard, sends his only son, which is Jesus, to take of the fruits from the vineyard, and the husbandmen killed the owner's only son. Jesus, just told the people what they will do to him, is not different then how they treated those who came before him. The most important point is when they answered they will soon taste the wrath of the owner... which is God.
