The serpent makes it sound so good that the eyes would be opened and that they would be like GOD. He knew that was not true but made Eve believe it to be so. That is what sin does to our lives - the first time it seems ok. Eventually we just keep on believing that and we continue on even though we know it is wrong. Sin makes itself look good and we are fools to keep believing that GOD will not mind.
