I have heard so many explanations for this and the subsequent related passages of scripture trying to describe what occurred here. Perhaps the sin committed by Ham is one of disrespecting his father. That puts a new perspective on how seriously God views His commandment to us to honor our father and mother as well as our husbands and those He has placed in authority over us. Forgive me Lord for my disrespectful attitude, mouth and behavior, in Christ's name, amen.
