Job
Chapter 42
8
Now therefore take seven bulls and seven rams and go to my servant Job and offer up a burnt offering for yourselves. And my servant Job shall pray for you, for I will accept his prayer not to deal with you according to your folly. For you have not spoken of me what is right, as my servant Job has."

The three friend were under the wrath of God. Having to go to Job to make the sacrifices was humbling for the three friends. Going to Job for prayer elevated Job greatly in spiritual matters. But going to Job involved more than just prayer, it involved spiritual position. Job would be the officiating priest, the spiritual superior. The friends had elevated themselves above Job in their speeches, it is not easy to pray for those who have mistreated us. Job is greatly exonerated before his friends.
