What this means is that we are to worship and serve God with our WHOLE HEART not with our intellect. KNOWLEDGE IS NOT SALVATION. YOU SHOULD KNOW THE BIBLE, BUT EVEN MORE IMPORTANT, YOU SHOULD KNOW THE GOD WHOM THE BIBLE REVEALS AND THE SALVATION THAT GOD OFFERS. THE JEWISH TEACHERS (the scribes and Pharisees) OF THE BIBLE KNEW THE OLD TESTAMENT THOROUGHLY, BUT THEY DIDN'T UNDERSTAND WHAT IT SAID ABOUT THE MESSIAH.
