Shirley Ann Washam's Note
Mar 20
11    And truly He gave some to be apostles, and some to be prophets, and some to be evangelists, and some to be pastors and teachers, 12    for the perfecting of the saints, for the work of the ministry, for the edifying of the body of Christ. (Mkjv) God called people to each of the afore mentioned jobs for the perfecting/building up of the saints (those whom he had already called to be believers). What, exactly is the job of an evangelist to one who already believes? Evangelist: Strong's # G2099 εὐαγγελιστής euaggelistēs yoo-ang-ghel-is-tace' From G2097; a preacher of the gospel: - evangelist.
