Jeremiah 26

8 When Jeremiah finished speaking all that the Lord had commanded him to speak to all the people, the priests and the prophets and all the people seized him, saying, "aYou must die!
9 "Why have you prophesied in the name of the Lord saying, 'This house will be like Shiloh and this city will be adesolate, without inhabitant'?" And ball the people gathered about Jeremiah in the house of the Lord.
10 When the aofficials of Judah heard these things, they came up from the king's house to the house of the Lord and sat in the bentrance of the New Gate of the Lord'S house.
11 Then the priests and the prophets aspoke to the officials and to all the people, saying, "A bdeath sentence for this man! For he has prophesied cagainst this city as you have heard in your hearing."

Jeremiah 38

4 Then the aofficials said to the king, "Now let this man be put to death, inasmuch as he is bdiscouraging the men of war who are left in this city and all the people, by speaking such words to them; for this man cis not seeking the well-being of this people but rather their harm."
