Jeremiah 22

13 "Woe to him who builds his house awithout righteousness And his upper rooms without justice, Who uses his neighbor's services without pay And bdoes not give him his wages,
14 Who says, 'I will abuild myself a roomy house With spacious upper rooms, And cut out its windows, Paneling it with bcedar and painting it bright red.'
15 "Do you become a king because you are competing in cedar? Did not your father eat and drink And ado justice and righteousness? Then it was bwell with him.
16 "He pled the cause of the aafflicted and needy; Then it was well. bIs not that what it means to know Me?" Declares the Lord.
17 "But your eyes and your heart Are intent only upon your own adishonest gain, And on bshedding innocent blood And on practicing oppression and extortion."

2 They acovet fields and then bseize them, And houses, and take them away. They crob a man and his house, A man and his inheritance.

Habakkuk 2

9 "Woe to him who gets aevil gain for his house To bput his nest on high, To be delivered from the hand of calamity!
10 "You have devised a ashameful thing for your house By cutting off many peoples; So you are bsinning against yourself.
11 "Surely the astone will cry out from the wall, And the rafter will answer it from the framework.
12 "Woe to him who abuilds a city with bloodshed And founds a town with violence!
