Matthew 26

47 aWhile He was still speaking, behold, bJudas, one of the twelve, came up accompanied by a large crowd with swords and clubs, who came from the chief priests and elders of the people.
48 Now he who was betraying Him gave them a sign, saying, "Whomever I kiss, He is the one; seize Him."
49 Immediately Judas went to Jesus and said, "Hail, aRabbi!" and kissed Him.
50 And Jesus said to him, "aFriend, do what you have come for." Then they came and laid hands on Jesus and seized Him.
51 And behold, aone of those who were with Jesus reached and drew out his bsword, and struck the aslave of the high priest and cut off his ear.
52 Then Jesus said to him, "Put your sword back into its place; for aall those who take up the sword shall perish by the sword.
53 "Or do you think that I cannot appeal to My Father, and He will at once put at My disposal more than twelve alegions of bangels?
54 "How then will athe Scriptures be fulfilled, which say that it must happen this way?"
55 At that time Jesus said to the crowds, "Have you come out with swords and clubs to arrest Me as you would against a robber? aEvery day I used to sit in the temple teaching and you did not seize Me.
56 "But all this has taken place to fulfill athe Scriptures of the prophets." Then all the disciples left Him and fled.

Mark 14

43 aImmediately while He was still speaking, Judas, one of the twelve, came up accompanied by a crowd with swords and clubs, who were from the chief priests and the scribes and the elders.
44 Now he who was betraying Him had given them a signal, saying, "Whomever I kiss, He is the one; seize Him and lead Him away under guard."
45 After coming, Judas immediately went to Him, saying, "aRabbi!" and kissed Him.
46 They laid hands on Him and seized Him.
47 But one of those who stood by drew his sword, and struck the slave of the high priest and cut off his ear.
48 And Jesus said to them, "Have you come out with swords and clubs to arrest Me, as you would against a robber?
49 "Every day I was with you ain the temple teaching, and you did not seize Me; but this has taken place to fulfill the Scriptures."
50 And they all left Him and fled.

John 18

3 aJudas then, having received bthe Roman cohort and cofficers from the chief priests and the Pharisees, came there with lanterns and dtorches and weapons.
4 So Jesus, aknowing all the things that were coming upon Him, went forth and said to them, "bWhom do you seek?"
5 They answered Him, "Jesus the Nazarene." He said to them, "I am He." And Judas also, who was betraying Him, was standing with them.
6 So when He said to them, "I am He," they drew back and fell to the ground.
7 Therefore He again asked them, "aWhom do you seek?" And they said, "Jesus the Nazarene."
8 Jesus answered, "I told you that I am He; so if you seek Me, let these go their way,"
9 to fulfill the word which He spoke, "aOf those whom You have given Me I lost not one."
10 Simon Peter then, ahaving a sword, drew it and struck the high priest's slave, and cut off his right ear; and the slave's name was Malchus.
11 So Jesus said to Peter, "Put the sword into the sheath; athe cup which the Father has given Me, shall I not drink it?"
