And seeing signs and great miracles performed, he was amazed.Devout men buried Stephen and made great lamentation over him.But Saul was ravaging the church, and entering house after house, he dragged off men and women and committed them to prison.Now those who were scattered went about preaching the word.Philip went down to the city of Samaria and proclaimed to them the Christ.And the crowds with one accord paid attention to what was being said by Philip when they heard him and saw the signs that he did.For unclean spirits, crying out with a loud voice, came out of many who had them, and many who were paralyzed or lame were healed.So there was much joy in that city.But there was a man named Simon, who had previously practiced magic in the city and amazed the people of Samaria, saying that he himself was somebody great.

Steadfast love and faithfulness meet; righteousness and peace kiss each other. Faithfulness springs up from the ground, and righteousness looks down from the sky. Yes, the Lord will give what is good, and our land will yield its increase. Righteousness will go before him and make his footsteps a way. You forgave the iniquity of your people; you covered all their sin. Selah You withdrew all your wrath; you turned from your hot anger. Restore us again, O God of our salvation, and put away your indignation toward us! Will you be angry with us forever? Will you prolong your anger to all generations? Will you not revive us again, that your people may rejoice in you? Show us your steadfast love, O Lord, and grant us your salvation. Let me hear what God the Lord will speak, for he will speak peace to his people, to his saints; but let them not turn back to folly. Surely his salvation is near to those who fear him, that glory may dwell in our land.

And he was brought up for three months in his father's house,and when he was exposed, Pharaoh's daughter adopted him and brought him up as her own son.And Moses was instructed in all the wisdom of the Egyptians, and he was mighty in his words and deeds."When he was forty years old, it came into his heart to visit his brothers, the children of Israel.And seeing one of them being wronged, he defended the oppressed man and avenged him by striking down the Egyptian.He supposed that his brothers would understand that God was giving them salvation by his hand, but they did not understand.
