Matthew 19
16
aAnd someone came to Him and said, "Teacher, what good thing shall I do that I may obtain beternal life?"

And He said to him, "Why are you asking Me about what is good? There is only One who is good; but aif you wish to enter into life, keep the commandments."

Then he said to Him, "Which ones?" And Jesus said, "aYOU SHALL NOT COMMIT MURDER; YOU SHALL NOT COMMIT ADULTERY; YOU SHALL NOT STEAL; YOU SHALL NOT BEAR FALSE WITNESS;

The young man said to Him, "All these things I have kept; what am I still lacking?"

Jesus said to him, "If you wish to be complete, go and asell your possessions and give to the poor, and you will have btreasure in heaven; and come, follow Me."

But when the young man heard this statement, he went away grieving; for he was one who owned much property.

And Jesus said to His disciples, "Truly I say to you, ait is hard for a rich man to enter the kingdom of heaven.
24
"Again I say to you, ait is easier for a camel to go through the eye of a needle, than for a rich man to enter the kingdom of God."
25
When the disciples heard this, they were very astonished and said, "Then who can be saved?"

And looking at them Jesus said to them, "aWith people this is impossible, but with God all things are possible."
27
Then Peter said to Him, "Behold, we have left everything and followed You; what then will there be for us?"
28
And Jesus said to them, "Truly I say to you, that you who have followed Me, in the regeneration when athe Son of Man will sit on His glorious throne, byou also shall sit upon twelve thrones, judging the twelve tribes of Israel.

"And aeveryone who has left houses or brothers or sisters or father or mother or children or farms for My name's sake, will receive many times as much, and will inherit eternal life.
Mark 10

aAs He was setting out on a journey, a man ran up to Him and bknelt before Him, and asked Him, "Good Teacher, what shall I do to cinherit eternal life?"

And Jesus said to him, "Why do you call Me good? No one is good except God alone.
19
"You know the commandments, 'aDO NOT MURDER, DO NOT COMMIT ADULTERY, DO NOT STEAL, DO NOT BEAR FALSE WITNESS, Do not defraud, HONOR YOUR FATHER AND MOTHER.'"

Looking at him, Jesus felt a love for him and said to him, "One thing you lack: go and sell all you possess and give to the poor, and you will have atreasure in heaven; and come, follow Me."

But at these words he was saddened, and he went away grieving, for he was one who owned much property.

And Jesus, looking around, said to His disciples, "aHow hard it will be for those who are wealthy to enter the kingdom of God!"

The disciples awere amazed at His words. But Jesus answered again and said to them, "Children, how hard it is to enter the kingdom of God!

"aIt is easier for a camel to go through the eye of a needle than for a rich man to enter the kingdom of God."

They were even more astonished and said to Him, "Then who can be saved?"

Looking at them, Jesus said, "aWith people it is impossible, but not with God; for all things are possible with God."

Jesus said, "Truly I say to you, athere is no one who has left house or brothers or sisters or mother or father or children or farms, for My sake and for the gospel's sake,
30
but that he will receive a hundred times as much now in the present age, houses and brothers and sisters and mothers and children and farms, along with persecutions; and in athe age to come, eternal life.

aAnd a blawyer stood up and put Him to the test, saying, "Teacher, what shall I do to inherit eternal life?"

And He said to him, "What is written in the Law? How does it read to you?"
