Matthew 19

16 aAnd someone came to Him and said, "Teacher, what good thing shall I do that I may obtain beternal life?"
17 And He said to him, "Why are you asking Me about what is good? There is only One who is good; but aif you wish to enter into life, keep the commandments."
18 Then he said to Him, "Which ones?" And Jesus said, "aYOU SHALL NOT COMMIT MURDER; YOU SHALL NOT COMMIT ADULTERY; YOU SHALL NOT STEAL; YOU SHALL NOT BEAR FALSE WITNESS;
19 aHONOR YOUR FATHER AND MOTHER; and bYOU SHALL LOVE YOUR NEIGHBOR AS YOURSELF."
20 The young man said to Him, "All these things I have kept; what am I still lacking?"
21 Jesus said to him, "If you wish to be complete, go and asell your possessions and give to the poor, and you will have btreasure in heaven; and come, follow Me."
22 But when the young man heard this statement, he went away grieving; for he was one who owned much property.
23 And Jesus said to His disciples, "Truly I say to you, ait is hard for a rich man to enter the kingdom of heaven.
24 "Again I say to you, ait is easier for a camel to go through the eye of a needle, than for a rich man to enter the kingdom of God."
25 When the disciples heard this, they were very astonished and said, "Then who can be saved?"
26 And looking at them Jesus said to them, "aWith people this is impossible, but with God all things are possible."
27 Then Peter said to Him, "Behold, we have left everything and followed You; what then will there be for us?"
28 And Jesus said to them, "Truly I say to you, that you who have followed Me, in the regeneration when athe Son of Man will sit on His glorious throne, byou also shall sit upon twelve thrones, judging the twelve tribes of Israel.
29 "And aeveryone who has left houses or brothers or sisters or father or mother or children or farms for My name's sake, will receive many times as much, and will inherit eternal life.
30 "aBut many who are first will be last; and the last, first.

Luke 18

18 aA ruler questioned Him, saying, "Good Teacher, what shall I do to inherit eternal life?"
19 And Jesus said to him, "Why do you call Me good? No one is good except God alone.
20 "You know the commandments, 'aDO NOT COMMIT ADULTERY, DO NOT MURDER, DO NOT STEAL, DO NOT BEAR FALSE WITNESS, HONOR YOUR FATHER AND MOTHER.'"
21 And he said, "All these things I have kept from my youth."
22 When Jesus heard this, He said to him, "One thing you still lack; asell all that you possess and distribute it to the poor, and you shall have btreasure in heaven; and come, follow Me."
23 But when he had heard these things, he became very sad, for he was extremely rich.
24 And Jesus looked at him and said, "aHow hard it is for those who are wealthy to enter the kingdom of God!
25 "For ait is easier for a camel to go through the eye of a needle than for a rich man to enter the kingdom of God."
26 They who heard it said, "Then who can be saved?"
27 But He said, "aThe things that are impossible with people are possible with God."
28 Peter said, "Behold, awe have left our own homes and followed You."
29 And He said to them, "Truly I say to you, athere is no one who has left house or wife or brothers or parents or children, for the sake of the kingdom of God,
30 who will not receive many times as much at this time and in athe age to come, eternal life."
