Matthew 27

33 aAnd when they came to a place called bGolgotha, which means Place of a Skull,
34 athey gave Him bwine to drink mixed with gall; and after tasting it, He was unwilling to drink.
35 And when they had crucified Him, athey divided up His garments among themselves by casting lots.
36 And sitting down, they began to akeep watch over Him there.
37 And above His head they put up the charge against Him which read, "aTHIS IS JESUS THE KING OF THE JEWS."
38 At that time two robbers were crucified with Him, one on the right and one on the left.
39 And those passing by were hurling abuse at Him, awagging their heads
40 and saying, "aYou who are going to destroy the temple and rebuild it in three days, save Yourself! bIf You are the Son of God, come down from the cross."
41 In the same way the chief priests also, along with the scribes and elders, were mocking Him and saying,
42 "aHe saved others; He cannot save Himself. bHe is the King of Israel; let Him now come down from the cross, and we will believe in Him.
43 "aHE TRUSTS IN GOD; LET GOD RESCUE Him now, IF HE DELIGHTS IN HIM; for He said, 'I am the Son of God.'"
44 aThe robbers who had been crucified with Him were also insulting Him with the same words.

Mark 15

22 aThen they brought Him to the place bGolgotha, which is translated, Place of a Skull.
23 They tried to give Him awine mixed with myrrh; but He did not take it.
24 And they crucified Him, and adivided up His garments among themselves, casting lots for them to decide what each man should take.
25 It was the athird hour when they crucified Him.
26 The inscription of the charge against Him read, "aTHE KING OF THE JEWS."
27 They crucified two robbers with Him, one on His right and one on His left.
28 [And the Scripture was fulfilled which says, "And He was numbered with transgressors."]
29 Those passing by were hurling abuse at Him, awagging their heads, and saying, "Ha! You who are going to bdestroy the temple and rebuild it in three days,
30 save Yourself, and come down from the cross!"
31 In the same way the chief priests also, along with the scribes, were mocking Him among themselves and saying, "aHe saved others; He cannot save Himself.
32 "Let this Christ, athe King of Israel, now come down from the cross, so that we may see and believe!" bThose who were crucified with Him were also insulting Him.

John 19

17 aThey took Jesus, therefore, and He went out, bbearing His own cross, to the place called cthe Place of a Skull, which is called din Hebrew, Golgotha.
18 There they crucified Him, and with Him atwo other men, one on either side, and Jesus in between.
19 Pilate also wrote an inscription and put it on the cross. It was written, "aJESUS THE NAZARENE, bTHE KING OF THE JEWS."
20 Therefore many of the Jews read this inscription, for the place where Jesus was crucified was near the city; and it was written ain Hebrew, Latin and in Greek.
21 So the chief priests of the Jews were saying to Pilate, "Do not write, 'aThe King of the Jews'; but that He said, 'I am aKing of the Jews.'"
22 Pilate answered, "aWhat I have written I have written."
23 Then athe soldiers, when they had crucified Jesus, took His outer garments and made bfour parts, a part to every soldier and also the tunic; now the tunic was seamless, woven in one piece.
24 So they said to one another, "aLet us not tear it, but cast lots for it, to decide whose it shall be"; bthis was to fulfill the Scripture: "THEY cDIVIDED MY OUTER GARMENTS AMONG THEM, AND FOR MY CLOTHING THEY CAST LOTS."
