Matthew 27

33 aAnd when they came to a place called bGolgotha, which means Place of a Skull,
34 athey gave Him bwine to drink mixed with gall; and after tasting it, He was unwilling to drink.
35 And when they had crucified Him, athey divided up His garments among themselves by casting lots.
36 And sitting down, they began to akeep watch over Him there.
37 And above His head they put up the charge against Him which read, "aTHIS IS JESUS THE KING OF THE JEWS."
38 At that time two robbers were crucified with Him, one on the right and one on the left.
39 And those passing by were hurling abuse at Him, awagging their heads
40 and saying, "aYou who are going to destroy the temple and rebuild it in three days, save Yourself! bIf You are the Son of God, come down from the cross."
41 In the same way the chief priests also, along with the scribes and elders, were mocking Him and saying,
42 "aHe saved others; He cannot save Himself. bHe is the King of Israel; let Him now come down from the cross, and we will believe in Him.
43 "aHE TRUSTS IN GOD; LET GOD RESCUE Him now, IF HE DELIGHTS IN HIM; for He said, 'I am the Son of God.'"
44 aThe robbers who had been crucified with Him were also insulting Him with the same words.

Luke 23

33 aWhen they came to the place called The Skull, there they crucified Him and the criminals, one on the right and the other on the left.
34 But Jesus was saying, "aFather, forgive them; for they do not know what they are doing." bAnd they cast lots, dividing up His garments among themselves.
35 And the people stood by, looking on. And even the arulers were sneering at Him, saying, "He saved others; blet Him save Himself if this is the Christ of God, His Chosen One."
36 The soldiers also mocked Him, coming up to Him, aoffering Him sour wine,
37 and saying, "aIf You are the King of the Jews, save Yourself!"
38 Now there was also an inscription above Him, "aTHIS IS THE KING OF THE JEWS."
39 aOne of the criminals who were hanged there was hurling abuse at Him, saying, "Are You not the Christ? bSave Yourself and us!"
40 But the other answered, and rebuking him said, "Do you not even fear God, since you are under the same sentence of condemnation?
41 "And we indeed are suffering justly, for we are receiving what we deserve for our deeds; but this man has done nothing wrong."
42 And he was saying, "Jesus, remember me when You come in Your kingdom!"
43 And He said to him, "Truly I say to you, today you shall be with Me in aParadise."

John 19

17 aThey took Jesus, therefore, and He went out, bbearing His own cross, to the place called cthe Place of a Skull, which is called din Hebrew, Golgotha.
18 There they crucified Him, and with Him atwo other men, one on either side, and Jesus in between.
19 Pilate also wrote an inscription and put it on the cross. It was written, "aJESUS THE NAZARENE, bTHE KING OF THE JEWS."
20 Therefore many of the Jews read this inscription, for the place where Jesus was crucified was near the city; and it was written ain Hebrew, Latin and in Greek.
21 So the chief priests of the Jews were saying to Pilate, "Do not write, 'aThe King of the Jews'; but that He said, 'I am aKing of the Jews.'"
22 Pilate answered, "aWhat I have written I have written."
23 Then athe soldiers, when they had crucified Jesus, took His outer garments and made bfour parts, a part to every soldier and also the tunic; now the tunic was seamless, woven in one piece.
24 So they said to one another, "aLet us not tear it, but cast lots for it, to decide whose it shall be"; bthis was to fulfill the Scripture: "THEY cDIVIDED MY OUTER GARMENTS AMONG THEM, AND FOR MY CLOTHING THEY CAST LOTS."
