Would I have chosen the same! Was there another choice? Going to the best land would make sense but it didn't appear that Lot was hesitant. Probably would have pressed Abram to continue to the land that seemed fitting for both! Even if I had to give up some of the herd! I think about Lot's love for rich's vs the Lord and what Jesus said about it being easier for a camel to go through the eye of a needle than it is for a rich man to enter the kingdom of heaven! … Expand

Once again God's seems to be concerned about something. Such as after the fall He prevented them from eating of the tree of life and now keep them from getting too prideful in their ways! Lust of the flesh, lust of the eyes and boastful pride is from the world! Their point in building this tower was to make a name for themselves otherwise we will be scattered abroad over the face of the whole earth! God wanted them to be fruitful and multiply and populate the entire Earth! Once again man goes their own way and rebels against God's plan! Of coarse God improvises! :) … Expand

I think of how God remembered Israel as thy cried out to Him in Egypt as they were held as slaves of Pharaoh! God remembering Rachael when she was desperately in need of Him to allow her to conceive a child, God remembered Abraham and saved lot from being destroyed when God brought fire and brimstone on Sodom and Gomorrah!
