"Those days" are spelled out in more detail in Revelation 13. "Those days" are shortened by the second coming of Jesus and the gathering of the elect, which coincides with God beginning to pour out his wrath (see the trumpet judgements and the bowl judgements in Revelation). … Expand

wrote a note on Matthew 24:15 KJV
According to Daniel 9:27, the abomination of desolation occurs in the "midst" of the week, specifically, 1,260 days into it. Furthermore, Daniel 12:12 says "blessed is he that waiteth, and cometh to the thousand three hundred and five and thirty days" indicating that the "great" tribulation (Matthew 24:21) lasts 1,335 - 1,260 = 75 days. … Expand

Events before the abomination of desolation are called the tribulation: war, famine, death, martyrs. Events after the abomination are called the "great" tribulation, which leads up to the rapture of the church at the second coming and the "Day of the Lord." See Matthew 24:15. … Expand

People deduce that this is the Antichrist by cross referencing to Matthew 24:1-5, Mark 13:3-6, Luke 21:8 and Revelation 13:1-6. Especially in Revelation 13:5, "power WAS GIVEN UNTO HIM to continue forty and two months." … Expand

The previous verse makes it clear that he's speaking about the followers of Jesus. In this verse, "Which in time past were not a people" rules out the Jewish (by virtue of their ethnicity) people from times past. Also, in Exodus 19:5,6, God says to the children of Israel, "IF ye will obey my voice indeed, and keep my covenant, THEN ye shall be a peculiar treasure unto me above all people: for all the earth is mine: And ye shall be unto me a kingdom of priests, and an holy nation..." It stands to reason that IF the Jewish (by virtue of their ethnicity) people don't, THEN God won't. … Expand

wrote a note on Revelation 5:10 KJV
"Made us unto our God kings and priests" goes contrary to the common belief that the present day nation of Israel and the Jews living there are God's chosen people. Also, Peter writes in 1 Peter 2:9 that the followers of Jesus are "a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, an holy nation, a peculiar people." So, according to these verses, we're the ones who "shall reign on the earth." … Expand

wrote a note on Revelation 5:9 KJV
Jesus is about to open the book so, apparently, the four beast and the 24 elders sing a NEW song that they've never sung before. However, the four beasts aren't human and they don't need redemption. So, why would they be singing about it? Probably because it's a new SONG to be sung to God even though it might not directly apply to the singer. … Expand
