See also Revelation 21:9 about the bride of Christ. In chapter 21, it's the city "the holy Jerusalem" and in this chapter it's the saints. Also, "is come" means "right now" and indicates that the marriage is immediately following the trumpet and vial judgements. At a wedding, "the bride" becomes the bride on the wedding day, not before. So, "the church" as of yet isn't "the bride" as most Christians believe because the wedding hasn't happened yet. This distinction is important because Revelation 17:1-5 describes "the great whore" which is apostate Christianity and is NOT the bride. Expand

Compare and contrast verses 9 and 10 with Revelation 17:1-3. One of the seven angles with the seven last plagues talks to John in each instance. But, in chapter 17 John is shown the great whore and in this chapter he's shown the bride of Christ. Also, in chapter 17 he's taken away to the wilderness and here he's taken to a great and high mountain. Expand

wrote a note on 2 Thessalonians 2:7 KJV

"Letteth" means to hinder and "he" refers to the "man of sin" who's mentioned in previous verses. So, the verse can be written like this, "For the mystery of iniquity doth already work: only the man of sin who now hinders will hinder, until the man of sin be taken out of the way." So, the man of sin is hindering and is being "taken out of the way" when he's just been revealed at the temple? How? Why? Perhaps it's referring to the MORTAL man of sin who gets killed and then is 'resurrected' as the Antichrist? See also the note on Revelation 13:3 and Revelation 17:8. Expand
