wrote a note on Leviticus 23:24 KJV
Calendar years used to begin in the spring with March (approximately) being the first month, which places the first day of the 7th month at the midpoint of the year. The blowing of trumpets represents an alarm sounding. Concerning end time prophesy, Daniel 9:27 says the abomination of desolation occurs at the midpoint of the week, or 3.5 years into the 7 year period. Approximately 500 years after Daniel, Jesus said this same event, as written by Daniel, initiates the Great Tribulation and the Antichrist's war against the saints. So, it makes sense that there might be a blowing of trumpets as an alarm. … Expand

This is the third time in Revelation where the word "tribulation" is used to describe a Godly, righteous people going through suffering at the hands of the world. All 5 times "tribulation" is used in Revelation it's talking about God's people going through it: Revelation 1:9, Revelation 2:9, Revelation 2:10, Revelation 2:22, Revelation 7:14. The ten day tribulation might parallel the ten days between the Feast of Trumpets and the Feast of Atonement, see Leviticus 23:24-27. It might be symbolic or literal. … Expand

On the doctrine that Jews, by virtue of their ethnicity, are God's chosen people - even though they believe in another messiah: Paraphrasing one tenet of the doctrine, "if you bless them, God will bless you and if you curse them, God will curse you." But, according to these verses (14-16), God's wrath is on them, not His blessing. See also Revelation 2:9. … Expand

"Synagogue of Satan" as those "which say they are Jews, and are not..." Who is / isn't a Jew? Romans 2:28-29, "For he is not a Jew, which is one outwardly; neither is that circumcision, which is outward in the flesh: But he is a Jew, which is one inwardly; and circumcision is that of the heart..." On circumcision, Philippians 3:3, "For we are the circumcision, which worship God in the spirit, and rejoice in Christ Jesus..." On Satan, 1 John 2:22, "Who is a liar but he that denieth that Jesus is the Christ? He is antichrist, that denieth the Father and the Son." To deny Jesus is the Christ, you have to believe there IS a Christ but it's not Jesus, which is a tenet of Judaism. Finally, "synagogue" points to religion not race. … Expand

wrote a note on Revelation 6:12 KJV
This is the ONLY time in Revelation that references the sun and moon darkened. THAT MAKES THIS THE SAME EVENT as Matthew 24:29 and Mark 13:24-25. Therefore, the opening of the sixth seal is after the tribulation. Everything before the sixth seal is the tribulation. Everything that comes after the sun and moon being darkened is not the tribulation, it's God pouring out His wrath. The tribulation and the wrath are two different things. The tribulation doesn't go the entire seven years of the main events of Revelation, often called Daniel's seventieth week. The tribulation covers a little more than half of the seven years and the wrath covers the rest. … Expand
